Eric Meulman Bio

Eric Meulman Acoustic Music Eric has been seen playing in the streets of Bethlehem, PA and in the OuterBanks, NC, where he first realized the potential success of being a singer/songwriter. He has a music video out, which can be seen on YouTube called “Like A Smoke Ring”. He has driven across the United States from his hometown of Northampton, PA and has played at LIVE fashion store on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA.

He is notable for his humble approach to music that stems from the beauty of nature and stories of life. At the age of 11, he took a couple of guitar lessons and taught himself from there on. When he was 15, his mother passed away from a cancer known as Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He remembers picking up the harmonica and guitar, strumming good tunes and singing to his mother while she was sick in the hospital bed. After such a tragic loss in his life, music became a very close friend to him and way to express his feelings. Eric majored in Radio/TV at Northampton Community College, but only completed one semester, because he was still caught in his own world of creativity through song writing. He purchased a Macbook Pro during his first semester of college and it has been his primary source for recording his music, instead of doing his school work. At the age of 18, he recorded his first song called, “Like A Smoke Ring” and shortly after his cousin, Adam Reynolds, filmed a music video for the song out in Los Angeles.

Eric currently has 6 self-made albums out on iTunes and CDbaby.com. The best way to describe his music is raw, not over produced, honest, truthful, soulful, easy-listening, and personal. “October” and “It Speaks For Itself” are both beautiful instrumental albums with intertwined picking, echoes, fast strumming, and other beautiful sounds. Notable instrumentals are “Windmills of Kinderdijk” and “Treading Water” as well as “Elements Collide”. His other four albums are mostly alternative/folk songwriting. Well known songs are, “Until I Meet You” , “Its Time To Downgrade” , “Truth-Seekers” , “What I Give In” , “February’s Worst, Valentine’s Best” and “Surfer Hero” He is currently working on more songs to be released soon. When you listen to his music you’ll be sure to find harmonica, piano, and great guitar work.
